Chief Technical Officer/RMF Subject Matter Expert

Kathryn has worked in federal/DoD IT security compliance since 2008. During these 15+ years, she has worked on countless consulting engagements spanning many industries/missions and involving all different technologies and environments.  Utilizing her decades of consulting experience, Kathryn has created much of the curriculum that is taught at BAI, including, RMF in the Cloud/FedRAMP, STIG 101, CSF 2.0 and more!  

Kathryn studied at Radford University and graduated in 2006 with a degree in Information Systems and Science with a concentration in Web Development. She currently holds a CISSP and CGRC and is currently working towards several other certifications. Her areas of specialization include Information Security and the Risk Management Framework as well as process improvement.

When she isn’t working, she is active in her community by volunteering at her local domestic violence shelter as well as the local animal shelter.  She also loves spending time with her son, Gunner, and husband, Gary.  Additionally, she also rescues dogs and currently has a super mutt named Reginald and a cat named Annabelle.
